About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager to join Haringey Council’s Digital Services. The Portfolio section is responsible for the delivery of digitally enabled change transformation across the Council.    

In this role, you will lead, motivate and inspire a small team of project managers as well as external contractors. You will be responsible for successfully delivering major projects, often as part of wider change programmes, creating business readiness plans and monitoring business cases, to help ensure planned business benefits are realised.

There is opportunity to help shape the development of the Portfolio Office including continuous improvement of Digital Portfolio processes and tools as well as the wider development of the Digital Services function.

About you

You will be expert in managing medium to large scale projects across the whole of the IT project lifecycle using different methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile. You will be adept at managing Project Sponsors to ensure business functions are prepared for business and technical change.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills enable you to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and perspectives in different business contexts. You will possess in depth commercial skills, having ideally worked with formal procurement processes and significant supplier selection.
