We are seeking to appoint an experienced music education professional with excellent organisational skills to lead and inspire others.  As the Head of Service and the Haringey Music Education Hub, you will have extensive experience of working with large groups of children and young people in a musical context in and out of schools and experience of project management and organising large scale performances.  You will be able to communicate with school groups that make up our multi-cultural and diverse community. 

 

In leading Haringey Music Service, the candidate would be expected to manage a small core team of administrators and music leaders as well as a team of 150+ self-employed peripatetic teachers.

 

They would work with colleagues in schools, the Haringey Music Education Hub and across the Children and Young Peoples Service (CYPS) to raise standards in music education. They would act as the budget holder for the service and be responsible for reporting to Arts Council England (ACE) as Head of the Lead Partner in the Haringey Music Education Hub.

 

They would be responsible for implementing a range of curricular and extra-curricular objectives in line with local, regional, national, and international music education communities.
