Are you an experienced Development Manager looking for a new challenge, enabling and delivering a wide a range of digital change and innovation across a large organisation? 

Haringey Council are looking to appoint a Data and Development Manager to join their Digital Services. Haringey uses the latest technologies to support and provide efficient services to a vibrant community of over 250,000 residents and businesses and enabling around 3,000 staff. 

Working in Digital Services means you will join a committed, diverse and ambitious team helping to make the borough a better place for all. You will be making a real difference to citizens and businesses, through support of over 80 teams across the Council including Customer Services, Adult Social Care, Children's Services, Housing, Environmental Services and many others. 

 

Job Responsibilities

As the leader of a team critical to the delivery of our digital strategy, you will be responsible for our new Data Science function as well as our platform development.  Leading a small but skilled and committed team, you will help drive initiatives around data and platforms that will contribute to the continuous improvement of the Council.  

You will lead, motivate and inspire a a proactive and solutions-based environment where we foster relationships across the council to drive our journey of innovation and understanding of the future needs of our community and staff. Your role will be key in developing and leveraging a range of technologies across our key services including Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Drupal CMS and our Granicus GovService Platform.  You will help shape our understanding of our future council services through data driven insight.

 

Core Skills

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of managing developments teams across a broad technology stack including MS O365, SharePoint, Drupal, Power Apps and Propriety Systems
  • A background and understanding of the importance of data ideally with knowledge of Power BI and how organisations can harness data to drive organisational effectiveness
  • Experience of building and maintaining collaborative relationships across organisational boundaries and stakeholder groups including internal and external partners to enable the smooth delivery of technology solutions
  • Confidence and gravitas to work credibly with senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues, and to write clear reports and other formal documentation for solution evaluations and deployments is essential.
