Programme / Project Management
Permanent

£38,229 - £41,025

About the role

Are you looking for a new challenge? Well this may just be the role for you. The Parks and Open Spaces team are currently recruiting for a new role as Parks Development Manager. This post has been created following a restructure earlier this year.

Working closely with the Client and Contracts Manager and managing a strong team of officers, you’ll develop and implement plans and policy to continually improve our Parks and Open Spaces for all residents and visitors. We want you to explore, develop and roll-out new initiatives to make sure that our open spaces remain award-winning and cost-effective. You’ll identify areas for future improvements and developments, such as where and how we can improve our parks, play areas and sports areas. You will also look at ways in which we can reduce the cost of maintenance, and market our offer more proactively, demonstrating the real benefits of the great outdoors and of being active.

The role would suit someone who has all or most of the following skills and experience:

  • Project Management
  • Procurement
  • External Fundraising
  • Asset Management
  • Contract Management
  • Capital and Revenue Budget Management
  • Partnership Building
  • Cross service working
  • Research and business analysis
  • Communication and consultation

In this role you will have the opportunity to develop new polices, translate the London Mayors Polices to Haringey, work across the council on service transformation and regeneration projects, and drive innovation within the service.
