About the role

Haringey is an exciting, diverse borough with a broad range of regeneration projects underway or committed. It is a borough which alongside substantial challenges also faces significant challenges in common with many London Boroughs. Our work seeks to secure investment in our places, to contribute to addressing our shared housing challenges, and above all to secure benefits from investment for our communities, residents and businesses.

Regeneration is focussed on two broad areas, Tottenham and Wood Green.

The Tottenham Area Action Plan and Strategic Regeneration Framework sets out the vision for Tottenham over the next 20 years. The borough has been successful in securing substantial public and private sector funding with notable investment taking place across a broad variety of project types. This includes projects in growth areas, estate regeneration, high streets, workspace, public realm along with a range of social and community projects.

At Wood Green the Strategic Regeneration Framework has recently been adopted and an Area Action Plan is under development.

In both our main regeneration areas, the council has a very strong partnership between with the Mayor of London and Transport for London. Working through these partnerships, the council has been successful in securing substantial funding from a variety of pots, both public and private, and has a large programme of confirmed projects moving into the delivery stage.

The council is therefore seeking talented, ambitious and motivated regeneration professionals to progress some of these projects.

You will have practical experience of developing and managing a range of regeneration projects, with a track record of forging partnerships and engaging communities to deliver area-wide regeneration.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an appropriate field – planning, housing or development. You will have proven project management experience from scoping to delivery, and experience of managing a project team, including commissioning work from consultants or external parties.

You will have the confidence and proven ability to drive forward complex projects, and will be regularly liaising with senior managers, elected members and a wide range of stakeholders.
