Salary: £30,324 - £31,998 per annum

Contract: 1x permanent 1x 23 months fixed term

About the role

This is an exciting time to join  the Early Help and Prevention service delivering a locality-based family support service to children and families facing multiple and complex issues. Our teams include youth provision and the Troubled Families agenda, as part of an integrated whole family approach to delivery. Early Help services form an integral element of the wider early help partnership offer available across Haringey, responding to needs assessed as being below Tier 3 (London Safeguarding Children’s Board guidelines), and builds on and complements other services  delivered, including universal  provision. This role delivers direct support to families, usually in their homes to help resolve issues, build capacity and prevent escalation to statutory services. Undertaking holistic family assessments and working collaboratively to deliver effective family support plans is central to strengthening families and enabling them to become more resilient and less reliant on services. We evidence the impact of our work through a consistent approach to assessment, timely recording and regularly reviewing plans and family progress as part of the team around the family approach.

By establishing a visible, accessible and flexible service and demonstrating our willingness and ability to work collaboratively with other providers we will enable more families to address the challenges which prevent them from making progress and be more accountable as part of a cohesive early help partnership. In this way we will develop stronger, better informed and more responsive local networks to effectively support individual, family and community needs.

If you have the people skills and enthusiasm to help deliver our vision of early help and can rise to the challenge of outcome-focussed, direct family work in Haringey then please complete the on-line application form
