Voice and Site Services Manager  

Grade: PO7

 

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Voice and Site Services manager to join the Digital services team in Haringey Council.

You will be responsible for ensuring availability of the Council’s voice and data services by managing all operational aspects, including monitoring. You will lead procurement, project delivery and day to day contract management for major managed service providers. You will also manage and report on associated compliance and regulatory risk.

You will have the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the Council’s long-term voice and telecoms strategy.

 

About you

Your technical skills will encompass key technologies used in voice and data networks including:

  • Routing protocols
  • VPNs
  • MPLS
  • Transmission (SDH, EoSDH, MSP, DWDM, Ethernet),
  • Interfaces and standards

 

You will have good knowledge of relevant regulations to ensure compliance to all business, governance and legislative policies including PCI-DSS.

You will be experienced in managing contracts to ensure that suppliers adhere to agreed contract requirements and be proficient in product evaluation, selection and contract negotiations.

Given the operational and strategy elements of this role, it is vital that you have the right balance of technical and managerial skills and experience.
