About the role

Stonecroft is an “Outstanding” (Ofsted 15) and innovative Nursery with friendly, hard working and supportive staff. You will be working as part of a highly motivated and professional team who are passionate and committed to the ever-changing landscape of childcare and education. At Stonecroft we have created an exciting learning environment linked to our vision and ethos where children can grow and learn. 

We are looking for a dynamic Nursery Nurse to support the room leader in developing and motivating a high level of care, learning, play and education for children aged 2 years to rising 5-year-olds.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development or hold an equivalent qualification or above.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in being a dedicated key person within an inclusive environment.
  • An understanding of children’s individual learning style, and have sound knowledge of child development, and an awareness of how to support families through guidance, empathy and partnership working.
  • Demonstratable working knowledge of the EYFS.
  • The ability to promote excellent practice through providing first class childcare and education.
  • The ability to be organised, creative, enthusiastic and work as part of an inspirational team.
  • Must be a team player, using your initiative and being forward thinking and understand the importance of role modelling, self reflection and mentoring within a team context.
  • Strong commitment to the welfare of all children.
  • A good level of literacy and IT skills.
