View Vacancy -- Children’s Social Care Commissioner

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to innovate and make a positive contribution to the transformation of how high-quality provision for children, young people and their families are commissioned in Haringey. As Children’s Social Care Commissioner, you will lead on the commissioning of services to support Looked After Children (LAC) and Children in Need, working closely with others to ensure that there is the effective deployment of resources to meet needs. 

You will be contributing to strategic and service planning across children’s service, whilst working alongside other services, external partners, children, young people and families to determine needs, commissioning priorities and resource allocation.

About you 

The successful candidate will be an experienced commissioner, with the energy and enthusiasm to drive positive change. You will be a dynamic individual with a passion for delivering good outcomes for children and young people and a strong vision for You will have the knowledge, expertise and interpersonal skills to shape the commissioning function for children’s social care and confidently support the Head of Service, Assistant Director and Director of Children’s Services in developing an improved commissioning function for children’s social care. 

You will have a good understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks relating to the commissioning of services; and will have the ability to work as a member of a team. 

Able to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends when required.
