About the role
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join the Performance Team as an information analyst to work on council wide performance management projects in particular providing support and analysis around Adult social care data. The Performance Team has a wide and varied remit ranging from completing key statistical returns, reporting performance to senior officers and Members and supporting service improvement through performance management.
This post is intended for an ambitious and keen individual with a “Can Do” attitude who wants to hone their skills in a high profile, well-respected corporate team. It will provide the post holder with significant development opportunities through on the job learning, exposure to system reporting and direct work with senior officers supporting performance improvement.
You will be reviewing, analysing and challenging performance to provide evidence based information to meet identified, current and future needs. You will work with colleagues in teams across the council to promote a culture of continuous improvement, transformation and enhanced efficiency across the Council.
You could be running and manipulating Mosaic reports to extract management information, working with excel spreadsheets to analyse trends and interpret data to inform service improvement or working with service managers to understand and develop systems to meet their information requirements. Your work will contribute to improving data quality and you may be required to carry out research, write reports and to present findings in a clear and accessible way to a variety of audiences.
About You
You could be an experienced administrator or front line worker with excellent numeracy and ICT skills ideally with some experience of using Framework i/Mosaic and an interest in analysis and data. You will have a good understanding of the current issues and challenges facing local government, be a team player, motivated and proactive, ideally with some understanding or experience of working in a social care or related environment. Some experience of performance management, analysis of data or using information to support action is desirable, as is a flexible and solution-focused approach.
