About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Haringey Adult Social Care Transformation team. We are looking for people with relevant project management experience, who are able to work with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure the outcomes of our upcoming Borough Plan are delivered along with the savings identified in the Medium Term Financial Strategy.

The primary focus of this role will be to develop and implement a revised, effective and efficient Direct Payments service which meets the needs of our users. Our approach is built around helping people to stay healthy and live independently for longer by promoting independence, dignity and choice.

The programme team is driving much of the transformation activity and developing an operating model for a financially sustainable service which aims to maximise independence. The appointed person is working closely with the programme manager and senior responsible officers, the project manager roles are key to the effective delivery of the transformation programme.


Key Responsibilities

The post holders will work closely with the programme manager to ensure that high quality project management is provided which will enable the Council’s ambitions for Adult Social Care to be realised. You will establish and maintain project governance, develop project plans and ensure delivery, manage risks and issues and provide highlight reports to the Priority 2 Board 


About you

You will have excellent organisation and communication skills and experience of managing medium to complex projects.

You will need to be a confident communicator and be able to build strong working relationships across a variety of functions, and able to work with a wide range of colleagues and partners effectively.

A strong understanding and experience of project and programme management and governance arrangements and the role they play in delivering effective services and service improvements.

This is a busy but rewarding environment and you will need to be versatile, flexible and tenacious. This is an operational environment and very much a hands on role.
