View Vacancy -- Systems Navigator (Making Every Adult Matter)

Housing & Accommodation
Temporary / Fixed Term

£35,991 - £38,994

Haringey are excited to have become one of seven new Making Every Adult Matter adoption areas, which will bring together a wide range of people and organisations to improve the services, outcomes and systems that support people experiencing  homelessness, mental health, substance and alcohol dependency and criminal justice involvement.

About the Role

The Systems Navigator will design and deliver our three-year MEAM intervention. The role will be responsible for coordinating a multi-disciplinary practitioners group who will work together to explore what needs to change for the most vulnerable people in our borough to live healthy and fulfilling lives. As well as this, the role will work collaboratively with other agencies and directly with people facing complex and multiple disadvantage to navigate services differently to achieve their personal goals and outcomes.

This role will be key to achieving the Council's aim to improve the lives of very vulnerable people and will be part of our growing partnership of homelessness and rough sleeping services in the borough.

About You

This is an exciting opportunity to use experience and skills from frontline homelessness, health, criminal justice or drug service roles, to bring about genuine change for vulnerable people and the services that support them. This is an ideal role for someone who has firsthand experience working or accessing homelessness, mental health or drug treatment services who is looking for an opportunity to make change happen at a more senior level.

You will be an excellent verbal and written communicator with a passion for solving problems. You will be confident challenging those around you to think differently and to recognise the value of working collaboratively as a joined up system of support services.

You will understand the difficulties faced by people who experience multiple and overlapping needs when they try to access health and housing support. You will be a strong advocate for asset-based and trauma-informed approaches to working with vulnerable people and you will have a good understanding of the ways that vulnerability is exacerbated by poverty, social inequality and isolation.

3 year fixed term contract to deliver the Making Every Adult Matter approach in Haringey. Internal and external secondments considered.
