About the Role/Service

At Haringey we are committed to ensuring that all adults are able to live healthy and fulfilling lives, with dignity, staying active and connected in their communities. The advancements in Assistive Technology means that there are even more opportunities to support this. 

A new Digital Care Service is being created, that includes our vital 24/7 Community Alarm Service that provides a monitoring and responding service to the residents of Haringey. The role involves ensuring calls are answered and that callers get the support they need. This will involve visiting the resident’s home to assist, along with undertaking general maintenance of equipment to ensure service is maintained. This is a varied role with lots of potential for development.

About You

You will be passionate about providing excellent service, with good communication and compassionate engagement skills. Ability to adapt is essential as this is a varied role and often involves changing priorities. An understanding of safeguarding requirements alongside an ability to build a rapport with people who maybe in difficult circumstances. You will need good IT and administrative skills, as well as able to drive and undertake general maintenance on AT equipment, i.e. battery changes, minor faults or equipment failures. 

Training will be provided to support you to become familiar with our systems and for when we further develop the responding service.

Other Requirements/Further information

The role is for 37hrs and 40 mins per week, this is 36 core hours and 1 hr and 40 mins contractual overtime. Shift arrangements are 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm and 11pm to 7am, the shift handover is in addition to the core shift hours above. Minimum of 2 weekends a month. 

Enhancements will be paid for unsocial hours (between 8pm and 6am) and weekend and Bank Holidays. 26 to 29 days annual leave depending on length of service. 

Full PPE is provided for undertaking visits. 

You will be required to have a valid UK Driving Licence. 

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. An enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and barring Service will be undertaken.
