Park Lane is a long standing “Good” nursery with “Outstanding features”. You will be working as part of a highly motivated and professional team. At Park Lane we are creating an exciting Reggio inspired learning environment for children to grow and reach their full potential.
Park Lane are looking for an Early Years Officer to take the lead role in developing and motivating a high level of care, learning, play and education for children aged 2 years to rising 5 year olds.
Must hold NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development or hold an equivalent qualification.
Have experience of leading and coordinating a team
To be an organised, enthusiastic and an inspirational room leader with lots of energy.
To understand the importance of role modelling and mentoring within the team you will lead.
Be able to demonstrate working knowledge of the EYFS, including current initiatives.
You will have the ability to listen to children’s voices, observe and support children’s lines of enquiry.
To be an experienced and dedicated key person, within an inclusive environment.
You will be required to have an understanding of children’s individual learning styles and have sound knowledge on how to support families through guidance, empathy and partnership working.
To be able to promote excellent practice through providing first class childcare and education.
To have excellent skills in team work, using your initiative, be forward thinking and an exemplary role model.
Have a strong commitment to the welfare of all children.
Have a high level of competency in literacy skills and writing skills.
Have experience of leading and coordinating a team.
The candidate needs to have good knowledge of child development and learning. They will have some experience of leading a team in a childcare setting and have good organisational skills. They will be able to plan in an inclusive and stimulating environment offering a wide range of activities which will provoke thought and will extend learning. Experience of working with parents and other professionals is essential.
