About the role 

The Energy Team Leader role is a shared position covering the energy management of two local authority teams (Hackney and Haringey Councils).   These two organisations have a combined utilities contracts of approx.£14m per annum, and the team undertakes energy management activities and provides advice to a range of customers including internal business managers, school managers and housing estate managers.   Through management of the utility companies, the team ensures that bills are accurate, and that users understand their consumption and make payments efficiently.  The team leader will manage and motivate staff dealing with a range of energy management queries and ensure that utility bills are correct and payments are dealt with swiftly.  he post is based across two locations where the energy teams are located - Hackney Town Hall, and Haringey offices in Wood Green.

 

About you

You will have experience and a strong understanding of Energy Management across a large portfolio of buildings. With a head for figures and financial management you will be able to manage the Councils payment systems and energy consumption data successfully. You will understand how buildings operate and will be able to analyse information to identify operational improvements.

 

As the leader of the team who will need to demonstrate how you can inspire the team to deliver excellent energy management and energy advice to a range of users and building occupiers. With excellent communication skills you’ll quickly build relationships and trust with customers.
