About the role

As a Support Worker Driver you will be required to drive a 17 seat tail-lift mini bus to pick up and drop off adults with learning disabilities and support people to access activities in the hub and the community. This will also include supporting adults with learning disabilities to participate in all aspects of ordinary life, including employment, education, leisure activities such as swimming and health care.

You will be required to promote ordinary life skills and self-advocacy by supporting individual and group activities that respond to service users need in a sensitive, safe and culturally appropriate manner.

About you

You will need a clean driving license with a D1 category for two years, you must be over 25 years of age for insurance purposes and pass the Councils driving test. You will have the ability and skills to safely drive a range of vehicles up to a 17-seat tail-lift coach/minibus and have good literacy skills to complete associated transport records.
