About the role

An experienced Pensions Administrator is required to work on a long term project- GMP reconciliation for the Haringey Council Pension Fund.


About you

This role is ideal for an experienced Pensions Administrator from a Local Government Pension Scheme or Defined Benefit Pensions environment.

In this role you will need to demonstrate your ability and competence to support the Pensions Manager and their colleagues with day to day caseload management to ensure all work is carried out in an accurate and timely manner.

In this role you’ll be expected to manage a caseload, the GMP reconciliation project and interpret detailed pension related legislation as well as drafting appropriate letters and performing calculations.

You will have good communication skills both verbal and written. You will have a good level of current UK pensions legislation knowledge and an understanding of how a GMP is formed and the various revaluations attached to a GMP.

Candidates should have transferrable skills in the use of Pensions databases e.g Altair and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office- (Excel & Word) experience of SAP would be useful.

We are looking for a flexible, co-operative team member, as you’ll be contributing towards team targets and deadlines. You will also need to be well organised and be able to pay attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be skilled at dealing with people at all levels, comfortable handling confidential information and have the ability to manage multiple requests across the organisation. The ability to both plan and prioritise a demanding multi-disciplined workload is essential. In this team, the candidate will need the ability to work under pressure and be pro-active.
