About the role

As one of our Digital Communications Officers, you will play a key role in overseeing the digital communication activities in the council. You will help design new digital tools and platforms to promote the council’s activity, and develop, monitor and continue to improve Haringey’s online information channels, including the council’s award-winning website, intranet and other digital communication channels; to ensure that our service offering is relevant, up to date, available and accessible to customers and colleagues.

About you

A proactive, experienced and innovative digital communications professional who can plan and deliver digital solutions that supports delivery of the council’s priorities. You will be willing to try out new ideas, be persuasive and diplomatic, have excellent written and proofing skills, and ideally, you’ll have worked in a similar role. You will need to be familiar with web content management systems and have a demonstrable understanding of website usability and accessibility. The role will involve active working with a number of colleagues across the communications team, the wider council and stakeholders - so a strong and collaborative approach is essential.
