About the role
Due to restructure there are a number of exciting opportunities now available in the Early Help Commissioning Team.
The Processing Officer will provide invaluable administrative support to the team to enable them to support children across the borough access their free childcare entitlement and other opportunities to have the best start in life.
A team player with a keen eye for detail, you will have strong IT administration skills and be confident in maintaining and updating financial spreadsheets. You will be able to organise your work to prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy office environment.
Able to work independently you will be supporting the Head of Service and other team members by presenting data and liaising with both internal and external partners. You will be responsible for processing headcount records, formulating payments and following up any queries related to the head count data. A background in payments would be beneficial as would experience of dealing with schools and childcare providers. An understanding of the statutory free entitlements for early education and childcare would be desirable.
