View Vacancy -- Sighted Support Officer

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic person to provide sighted support to Haringey’s Cabinet Member for Environment. Working in one of the most exciting and diverse boroughs in London, you will be working directly with the Cabinet Member as their primary sighted support officer.

You will work closely with the Cabinet Member providing them with the necessary support to fulfil their role effectively and with dignity. This is a varied role which includes management of casework, providing concise summaries of complex information as well as accompanying the Cabinet Member to meetings with key stakeholders.

This is a fixed-term part time (16 hours) position with flexibility until October 2019 with the possibility to extend thereafter. This post is politically restricted.

About you

Excellent communication skill are crucial, along with the ability to deal with a wide range of people, build strong working relationships and manage the unexpected. Enthusiastic and motivated, you will be confident managing a large and varied workload.

You should have an understanding of the disabling barriers to access and inclusion.
