About the role


Over the next 10 years, South Tottenham will harness its vast potential to address socio-economic inequality, through the delivery of a great range of homes, new employment opportunities for young people in the Creative Sector and creating fully connected communities with better transport links and excellent places to live, work and visit.


Running from the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to Seven Sisters station, the High Road will be celebrated for its wonderful heritage, vibrant, strong and proud multi-cultural communities and local character including its successful town centres and markets.


Haringey is a diverse borough of 29 conservation areas and numerous Listed Buildings. The Tottenham Heritage Corridor which include the conservation areas of Bruce Grove and Tottenham Green, was recently shortlisted for the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG)’s High Street Heritage Action Zone (HAZ) grant to be administered by Historic England. Tottenham High Road has also been shortlisted for the Future High Streets Fund (FHSF), which is the parent fund to HAZ.



About you

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Heritage Project Officer to join our dynamic South Tottenham Regeneration Area. The Project Officer will support the delivery of the HAZ scheme which aims to enhance the historic character of Tottenham, creating a stronger identity for its town centres, working in partnership with local businesses and Historic England.


The post holder would preferably have a degree or post-graduate qualification in heritage and historic building conservation or equivalent discipline with extensive knowledge of delivering schemes within conservation areas.
