We need a passionate, committed, self-motivated person with some experience of working with children, their families and the community to join our team. As an Early Intervention Outreach Practitioner, you will work with us to encourage young families to take advantage of the range of community services available to them within the locality. 

We are looking for a forward-thinking practitioner with a solution focused attitude who will have innovative ideas to bring to the team. Some knowledge or experience of child development, supporting vulnerable families and working in partnerships with external agencies would be beneficial to the role. 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team, who are committed to developing a unique style of service delivery, that will have a positive impact on outcomes for all families with children under the age of five years. 

About You

The following qualifications, skills and abilities are essential to be successful in this post.

  • A recognised Early Years qualification
  • You should have a good understanding of child protection and safeguarding policies and procedures
  • You should have good knowledge of the developmental needs of children of school age and between 0 – 5 years old. 

Experience in planning and delivering positive interventions to support parents to engage with the children’s development is essential for this post. As well as this, applicants should have experience in connecting parents into the community, universal and targeted services. 

Applicants will also have a good level of practical, analytical skills and an understanding of data relating to practice in order to contribute to effective planning and enable delivery of the service.
