View Vacancy -- Traffic Management Officer

About the Role

Haringey Council is looking to recruit to the position of Traffic Management Officer to join the Environmental and Neighbourhoods department. This position will be within the Network Management Team and will play a key role in co-ordinating street works within the borough.  Duties will involve driving a council van on a daily basis, inspecting works sites around the borough and ensuring their safety and compliance. 

About You

You must have:

• A good understanding of the Traffic Management Act and New Roads and Street Works Act is essential.  
• Strong understanding of the relevant areas of the Traffic Management Act 2004, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, London Permit Scheme and the associated codes of practice.
• Experience in ensuring statutory undertakers activities conform to New Roads and Street Works Act.
• Practical experience of implementing responsive high-quality service, that satisfies the needs of an ethnically and culturally diverse community.
