Job Title: Project Manager (Children’s Transformation)

Salary: £38,229 - £45,666 per annum

About the role

Experienced Project Managers are being sought to join the Transformation Team working with Children’s Services in Haringey. We are looking for people with relevant project management experience, who are able to work with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure the outcomes of our Corporate Plan are delivered along with the savings identified in the Medium Term Financial Strategy.

Priority 1 ‘Best Start in Life’ sets out the transformational change required in how children services are provided in Haringey. Our approach is built around enabling every child and young person to have the best start in life – ensuring all our schools are good or outstanding and providing young people and families with the support they need.

The Transformation Team in these areas play a critical role in driving transformation activity and supporting financial sustainability and improvement of services. Working closely with the respective programme manager and senior responsible officers, the project manager role is key to the effective delivery of the transformation programme.

Key Responsibilities

The post holders will work closely with the respective programme manager to ensure that high quality project management is provided which will enable the Council’s ambitions for Children Services to be realised. You will establish and maintain project governance, develop project plans and ensure delivery, manage risks and issues and provide highlight reports to the Priority Boards

 

 About you

 

 You will have excellent organisation and communication skills and experience of managing medium to complex projects.

 

You will need to be a confident communicator and be able to build strong working relationships across a variety of functions, and able to work with a wide range of colleagues and partners effectively.

 

A strong understanding and experience of project and programme management and governance arrangements and the role they play in delivering effective services and service improvements.

 

This is a busy but rewarding environment and you will need to be versatile, flexible and tenacious. This is an operational environment and very much a hands on role.
