About the role

This post is designed to manage the day-to-day duties of Traffic Engineering, Network, London cycle and local safety schemes. Other schemes may include but not limited to:

 

  • Bus priority, traffic calming, safer routes to school and walking schemes
  • Regeneration and Development schemes including streetscape improvements and Section 106.
  • Footways and Carriageways, Controlled Parking Zones & Local Parking Restrictions.
  • Other externally funded schemes.

 

 

About You

  • An experienced project engineer with an understanding of the principal responsibilities of, and the key issues facing local government and the public sector with respect to highway, traffic and transport design and management.

 

  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of highways, traffic and transport-related legislation, statutory duties, and practice. Your knowledge must be accompanied by a demonstrable record of successfully and consistently delivering traffic and parking schemes as well as experience in effective public consultation.

 

  • Excellent team and people skills to develop strong working relationships and deliver services and performance in a highly pressured working environment.
