About the role:

As part of a multi-agency team you will be provided with professional supervision and support as well as being expected to share your expertise with colleagues from a range of disciplines. The Targeted Response Team works closely with internal agencies such as Children’s Social Care and also external agencies in order to provide a holistic approach to supporting young people and their families.  The successful candidate will need to liaise closely with these agencies.  You will hold a caseload of high level work.   Ensure children and young people are safeguarded by identifying and addressing child protection issues and concerns with colleagues as appropriate.


About you:

Are you an assertive, collaborative, task focused individual with a proven ability to achieve the best outcomes for young people and families in challenging circumstances?

To work with young people and their families to enable a ‘whole family’ strengths based approach to assessment and engagement within a multi-disciplinary team.  Work collaboratively with internal and external partners. Represent the Service at various meetings which aim to safeguard children and families.  Develop, plan and deliver whole family, outcome focused interventions and support plans in conjunction with other agencies which respond to the needs of families addressing presenting risk factors.  Being flexible and able to work under pressure is also essential as is the need to appropriately prioritise. Work in partnership with young people, parents and families to increase their confidence and capacity in parenting; encourage containing and nurturing relationships and attachment with parents/carers and their children; promote their children’s development.
