About the role

This exciting and varied role is offered to cover a 12 month secondment. Accountable for delivery of the Prevent Strategy in Haringey, the postholder will work across council services and external partnerships including the police, education settings and Haringey’s diverse communities.

Based in the Commissioning Unit, the postholder will work closely with Adult’s and Children’s Services to coordinate safeguarding packages for vulnerable individuals, deliver briefings and awareness raising training across the partnership, as well as managing several Home Office funded projects. The role will lead on the maintenance and development of relationships in the community, education, and business sectors to enhance Haringey’s resilience to extremism and radicalisation.

About You

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the Prevent Strategy with the ability to communicate and influence across a range of stakeholders. Excellent organisation skills will be used to deliver projects and balance strategic and operational priorities. The postholder will coordinate confidently with senior partners and community representatives to tailor Prevent delivery to the needs and expectations of all stakeholders.
