View Vacancy -- Productive Valley Fund Officer

Business Support
Temporary / Fixed Term
Full Time
£34,884 - £37,722

About the role

Do you want to work on and administer a cross-borough business loan fund aimed at supporting some of North London’s finest, growing businesses, providing new investment and job opportunities in this critical time for the economy?

The Upper Lee Valley is identified as an Opportunity Area in the London Plan. Along with the vast potential for growth there are considerable challenges facing the area and its business communities, not least pressure on industrial land and escalation of commercial rents and rates. To tackle these issues, the £3M Productive Valley Fund (PVF) has been established to offer loan finance to industrial estate-based businesses in Haringey, Waltham Forest and Enfield.

Employed by the fund’s lead partner Haringey Council, the post-holder will work on all aspects of the fund across the three boroughs, supporting the PVF manager. This will involve providing secretariat support for the cross-borough project team, establishing and maintaining loan fund systems and procedures, handling all business enquiries and supporting the application process from start to finish. As the programme is funded by the City of London’s Strategic Investment Pot, the role also requires regular reporting and monitoring functions to be undertaken, including financial information and other evidence gathering.

To support the fund, the role will also involve developing and maintaining a property database to assist businesses looking for commercial space in the Upper Lee Valley area.

You will have considerable experience in the administration and monitoring of grant-funded programmes, preferably with business and financial elements, including gathering monitoring information from external partners and compiling regular reports for funding bodies.
