Team Manager - Fostering

Fostering Team Manager required within the Fostering Team of the Children in Need service. Haringey Council has been through a journey of improvement over the past ten years, with continued aspirations to fulfil the first corporate priority of enabling every child the best start in life. The borough of Haringey is unique with diverse children and families, we are looking for social workers that are ready for a fresh challenge, with the ability to make a real difference to the residents of Haringey borough.
Suitable candidate will have two years of management experience, preferably in a similar setting. The successful candidate will join supportive colleagues whose core business relates to supporting Fostering Carers and young people in the need of foster families.

The skill base required centre on managing performance of Social Workers with the end objective of increasing foster carers within the Borough of Haringey for children in Care. We are committed to “signs of safety” and need exceptional social workers who are committed to embedding this model of working.

The structure of the Fostering Service includes Two Teams, One Senior Practitioners, and 12 Social Workers managed overall by the Service Manager within Fostering and Adoption.
