Job Title: Traffic Management Officer           

Grade: SO1 to PO2                           

About the role

We need an experienced Traffic Management Officer to undertake the inspection and co-ordination of a variety of works on the public highway. The role also involves the gathering of evidence of contraventions of legislation and codes of practice governing works on the highway and investigation of and responding to enquiries from all stakeholders regarding highway issues.

You’ll be part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team where both teamwork and the ability to work independently are of equal importance.

About you

An experienced and self motivated individual with a sound understanding of the relevant parts of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, the London Permit Scheme and the powers and duties they place upon street authorities. You have an excellent understanding of the various codes of practice and regulations relevant to the field and in particular the Specification for Reinstatement of Openings in Highways.
