About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work as an information analyst within the Early Help & Prevention Service. The role will focus around the Ministry of Housing, Communities, and Local Government’s (MHCLG) Troubled Families Programme, and will provide a suitable candidate the opportunity to develop their numerical, analytical, and local government knowledge.
About You
You will have keen research and analytical skills, and be able to undertake a broad range of challenging and complex tasks, working closely with professionals from a variety of disciplines.
You will have excellent Excel skills and the ability to summarise, organise and match data from a variety of different sources and systems. Confident with IT, you will quickly pick up new skills in some innovative web based technology with training and support from team members.
With good interpersonal skills, you will be able to communicate confidently and effectively, with professional staff inside and outside the organisation. With the ability to exploit data analysis and reporting technologies, you will drive the development of quality data sets and intelligence products to support effective strategy development, service planning, commissioning and delivery.
You will have a good understanding of the current issues and challenges facing local government; in particular the MHCLG’s Troubled Families Programme.
Excellent numeracy and ICT skills and knowledge of Excel and Mosaic/Framework-I are desirable.
You will be a good team player, with the flexibility to work to challenging deadlines.
