About the Role/Service

At Haringey we are committed to ensuring that all adults are able to live healthy and fulfilling lives, with dignity, staying active and connected in their communities. The advancements in Assistive Technology means that there are even more opportunities to support this. 

A new Digital Care Service is being created, that includes our vital 24/7 Community Alarm Service that provides a monitoring and responding service to the residents of Haringey. The Digital Care Technician play a vital role in ensuring that all equipment is installed, de-installed and maintained safely and effectively in a timely manner to ensure service is maintained (this involves use of tools and ladders). As well as ensuring all customers and their family members/carers understanding how the equipment works and can use it effectively.

About You

You will have excellent customer service skills combined with technical and general maintenance skills (able to use tools and a ladder). A good understanding of Assistive Technology and the improved outcomes it can deliver. Strong communication skills, including able to explain and coach new users how to use their equipment. 

You will be passionate about technology and the role it can play in improving lives. A problem solver that looks for new technological opportunities alongside a good understanding of safeguarding. Training will be provided to support you to become familiar with our systems.

Other Requirements/Further information

The role is for 36 hours a week and will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays.

Enhancements will be paid for weekend working. 26 to 29 days annual leave depending on length of service. 

Full PPE is provided for undertaking visits. 

You will be required to have a valid UK Driving Licence. 

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. An enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and barring Service will be undertaken.
