Job Title: Senior/Environmental Health Practitioner

Grade: PO1 – PO3

Closing Date: Thursday 15th March 2018

About the role

You will be required to carry out the full range of proactive and reactive interventions in relation to food safety, occupational health & safety, accident and incident investigations, infectious disease, licensing and planning.  You will also provide guidance, advice and educational programs to local businesses and voluntary services.

About you

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic environmental health practitioner to join our Commercial Environmental Health Team.  You will have extensive experience and knowledge of dealing with the full range of commercial premises such as approved premises, manufacturers, warehouses, caterers, retailers, massage and special treatments.

You will be an excellent communicator, capable of using your own initiative and working with minimum supervision. You will also have excellent team working skills and a flexible solution focussed approach

Experience of dealing with private water supplies would also be an advantage although this is not essential.
