Senior Information Analyst- Business Intelligence

An exciting opportunity to be part of the Business Intelligence and Insight team supporting the delivery of key outcomes and targets through critical analysis on the borough, as well as projections for the future. The Senior Information Analyst will ultimately help to ensure that Haringey Council and its work are driven by high quality intelligence and insight.

 

About the role

The role involves working with senior officers from across the council to provide analysis for strategic challenges and projects including enhanced statistical analyses/ modelling and demographic projections. You will use data visualisation techniques to translate data and information on need and related socio-economic and equalities information into valuable insight.

The post holder will use this insight in the delivery and review of strategic plans, objectives, outcomes and targets to inform policy, commissioning, needs assessments, and service planning and improvement/transformation.

Your role will involve:

  • Putting      together profiles, reports and presentations to highlight how certain issues present      themselves in different parts of the borough
  • Finding      elusive data sets to provide a better understanding of our residents,      including things like population, housing tenure and health at borough,      ward and LSOA level and
  • Analysing data from a range of sources and communicating what the findings mean for the council and its work

 

Your work will drive improvement and support service transformation as well as promoting value for money and an understanding of demand management.

 

About You

The role would suit a leader with a proven record of accomplishment of building relationships at senior level to enact change. It would suit an analytical thinker or experienced analyst with a desire to potentially manage a small team of analysts and someone who enjoys creating insight to inform strategic planning and improvement.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a proven track record of getting up to speed quickly with new challenges and policy areas, learning new analytical techniques and the ability to work simultaneously on a number of competing pieces of work to tight deadlines.

 

You will have a good understanding of the current issues and challenges facing local government, be a team player, motivated and proactive with a flexible and problem solving approach, ideally with a background in project management, research, business/ transformation analysis or with specialist knowledge in the local government or business intelligence sector.
