Haringey Works is the Local Authority’s in-house employment support service and plays a vital role in supporting the Council’s commitment to provide access to skills, development, training and sustainable jobs for residents.

The Team supports residents at all stages of their career through a range of techniques and strategies including information advice and guidance, CV writing, one to one case work, interview preparation and job search support.

We are committed to developing new and strengthening existing relationships with local and regional employers to expand the range of employment opportunities available for Haringey residents.

About the role

The purpose of the role is to secure high-quality sustainable employment opportunities for Haringey Residents at London Living Wage and above with local and regional businesses including but not limited to jobs, apprenticeships, work placements and traineeships.

The postholder will actively pursue innovative job opportunities in non-traditional sectors.

You will work with employers and/or partners to secure guaranteed interviews and employment opportunities, for local residents using various methods including; cold calling, direct marketing, employer visits, social media, networking and events and maximising benefit from Councils own commissioning procurement and recruitment activity.

About You

The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of the recruitment challenges faced by employers as well as experience of delivering programmes/projects supporting people into sustained employment.

You will be an excellent communicator with experience of coordinating recruitment events and screenings.

The successful candidate will need to be pro-active and flexible with the ability to work under pressure whilst delivering professional customer service.
