About the role


As part of the Tottenham Hale Regeneration Programme, an opportunity has arisen for a School Crossing Patrol Officer based at the junction of Ashley Road and Burdock Road N17.


In summary, the role will involve:


  • Effectively managing the flow of pedestrian in a safe manner keeping in line with Road Safety guidelines
  • Adhering to the Councils Health and Safety Policy
  • Assessing and reporting any potential risks

This is a part time, term time role, based on 10 hours per working week (Haringey School Term Times).


Training and uniform will be provided.


This post is based on a one-year fixed term contract with a possibility of extending for a further year (tbc by June 2021).

This role will suit someone who enjoys engaging with the public in a friendly, approachable and professional manner.


You will be delivering a valuable service to the local community and will play a key role in controlling and maintaining road safety to pedestrians.


You will have excellent time keeping and be reliable and flexible.
