Haringey is a borough of contrasts, with a mix of great prosperity and affluence on one hand and deprivation and poverty on the other. We are determined to address inequalities across the borough and to work towards a better life for all our residents.

The Educational Psychology Service plays a key role in this work as part of the Integrated Service for SEN and Disabilities. It is vibrant and forward looking, providing the highest level of psychological input, assessment and interventions to support the development of children, young people and families in the borough. Our aim is to deliver a responsive and high quality educational psychology servicewhich contributes to sustaining and improving the educational and mental health outcomes for the children and young people/adults of Haringey, especially those who are the most vulnerable.

The Service is a key partner in delivering the local authority’s Early Help Offer and the SEND Reforms. This work has given us the opportunity to expand our team to meet these demands.

We are looking for educational psychologists to join the team to provide a high standard of generic EP support to a patch of schools and work with and alongside children, young people/adults, parents, carers and other professionals. All EPs are developing areas of specialism within the framework of the Service Development Plan.

Minimum requirements for post: Psychology degree (or BPS equivalent); Professional Qualification in Educational Psychology; HCPC registration and eligibility for chartered psychologist status.
