About the role

You will be part of the Corporate Delivery Unit, a small dynamic team that provides challenge and support to the Corporate Board as they seek to deliver key outcomes and targets.

The approach developed in Haringey is sector leading, attracting significant interest from across local and central government, but the team is only as good as the calibre of officers that comprise it. We are looking for ambitious individuals to build on our successes and develop the model for the future.

You will support the Delivery Unit Manager and Senior Delivery Unit Officers to work with the Chief Executive, senior leaders, operational managers and frontline staff to ensure effective improvement plans are in place. As plans are implemented, you will work to ensure delivery stays on track and ensure that effective monitoring and evaluation are in place. You will help to build capability within teams and across the organisation so that improvements are sustained beyond Delivery Unit involvement.

This post is intended for an ambitious individual who wants to build from a strong base to develop and refine their skills in supporting effective delivery and service improvement as part of the Delivery Unit. It will provide the post-holder with significant development opportunities through on the job learning, exposure to delivery tools and techniques and direct engagement with senior officers and members around delivery and performance.

About you

You are an ambitious individual who loves finding innovative solutions to challenging problems. You enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team but are willing to challenge others. You have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively across a varied workload. You have experience of conducting research and analysis to support service improvement. You are able to build effective working relationships at all levels and are a confident communicator who is able to negotiate, influence and deliver on promises. You want to build on the skills and experience you have developed in your career so far so you can play a more prominent role in improving service delivery.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an officer seeking experience in working with senior leaders to drive improvement.
