View Vacancy -- Commissioning Markets Lead (North London Councils)

North London Councils are recruiting a Commissioning Lead for Markets. This high profile role will support the development and implementation of a commissioning strategy for residential and nursing care to meet the needs of North London residents. The post holder will lead a strategic programme of work encompassing market management, addressing supply gaps and improving quality across the 5 boroughs. The successful candidate will be well skilled in implementing effective commissioning plans, built around developing strong credible relationships with a range of senior leaders across social care and health in north London.

The North London ASC Programme is a partnership programme developed by the five north London Councils (Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington) that contributes to the North London Partners STP www.northlondonpartners.org.uk We one of the few STP areas in the country that have a distinct programme of work to tackle some significant demand and capacity issues in adult social care. This work is sponsored by the Council chief executives and is driven by the Directors of Adult Social Services (DASS) and Directors/Assistant Directors of Commissioning in each borough.

In addition to the programme of work around the markets the post holder will also support the partnership between the Councils and health partners, including around the development of integrated arrangements to provide better health and care for north London residents.
