Haringey & The Role

We are looking for a Head of Service and a Principal Planning Officer in our Planning Policy and Transportation Planning service.

Haringey is entering into a particularly exciting time in terms of Planning Policy with the following being projects that will be taken forward imminently for which the team will be responsible for:

The next stage of the Wood Green Area Action Plan- 6,500 units and 4,000 jobs

  • Reviewing our Local Plan and associated DPDs
  • Implementing a Sustainable Transport strategy with a big emphasis on cycling

In addition working with the Development Management Teams and Housing Teams in delivering 1000 council homes over the next 4 years and with the Sustainability teams on improving air quality and delivering carbon reductions and district energy.

The planning team is based in Wood Green – opposite the Piccadilly Line tube station.
