Integrated Learning Disability Team Manager Post

 

 


Haringey Learning Disability Partnership is committed to improving the outcomes for adults with learning disabilities and value for money for the public purse, with a strong focus on professional practice, performance management and accountability.

 

We looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and energetic Team Manager who can lead the Social Work Team, working within a totally integrated, multidisciplinary service, with a passion for delivering a high standard of assessment and care management.

 

About the Role

As the Social Work Leader, you will part of a senior management team including Psychology, Therapies, Nursing and Psychiatry, which is focused on improving ordinary life outcomes for people with learning disabilities. This will involve enabling all staff to undertake strength based assessments, proactive support planning and working with carers and providers to maintain a high standard of care and support at all times.

 

As an experienced manager, you will have detailed working knowledge of the statutory requirements of the Care Act 2014 & Mental Capacity Act 2019. You will have an expert level knowledge and skills in promoting independence and well-being engaging a wide variety of universal services including Housing, Primary Care, Advocacy and others.

 

You will have excellent negotiation skills to work with carers and providers to maintain focus on outcomes for services users, in line with the council’s statutory duties.

 

Haringey is a vibrant multicultural community with and you will be expected to have a good understanding of the local economy and diversity.

 

You will also require strong digital and analytical skills in using council’s system Mosaic / Hari-NET and to interpret, explain and act on service performance reports in order to develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.

 

About You

You will be an experienced qualified social worker with significant management experience and an appetite for service improvement. As a leader in the Social Work field you will demonstrate a strong value base and a can-do attitude with a good understanding of the research and legislative framework governing adult social care.
